In the video above, I discuss what some have called the “McElvaine Thesis”: my reinterpretation of human history on the basis of misperceptions of sexual difference as the primary motive force in the human story. The argument I make in the video is the basis of my book Eve’s Seed: Biology, the Sexes and the Course of History. It is also the foundation on which I built the much more developed discussion of the history of misogyny and how it continues to shape our political, social, and economic landscape late in the second decade of the Third Millennium in my new book manuscript, DIVING BENEATH THE WRECK – DEEP HISTORY, MASCULINE INSECURITY, SEXISM, OBSCENE LANGUAGE & TRUMPISM.
